Introduction to Watercolor with Lisa Burke - 390131

Students will be introduced to a variety of techniques used in transparent watercolor painting such as mixing, blending, and applying colors, color values and characteristics. Students will learn how to add texture to paintings using various tools. Students will create compositions using these techniques in landscapes, seascapes, floral, abstracts and more. There will be a weekly painting project, that will be started in class and completed at home. There will be a class critique the following week.

Students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies as they are not included in the class fees. Supplies are available for purchase at the Cape Coral Art Center Supply Store located in building 2 open Monday- Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm. Current students receive a 10% discount. - Watercolor Pad of Paper 11in. x 15in. OR 9in. x 12in. (140lb Cold Press)
- 140lb Cold Press Arches Sheets 22 x 30
- Good Brushes: 4 total (do not buy packs of cheap brushes. A few good ones are all you need)
