Prerequisite: Glass Fusing Beginner or have previous kiln forming experience.
This class is for the intermediate to advanced student. Glass fusing is a challenging yet exciting class. Students will learn how to slump, create frit projects and how to fire glass kilns with instructor supervision. You can create an array of items from beautiful jewelry to unique frit paintings!

No production work allowed. Only work made in class can be fired.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies as they are not included in the class fees. Supplies are available for purchase at the Cape Coral Art Center Supply Store located in building 2 open Monday thru Saturday 9:00am thru 4:00pm. Current students receive a 10% discount. Call 239 574-0802 for more information.
Drop-In studio times are offered at a nominal fee for students enrolled in the current class session. Dates, times, and costs are posted in the glass studio after the first week of class in each session.
Supply List:
- Pistol Grip Toyo TC-600 Glass Cutter or any type you prefer
- 1 inch Running Pliers
- Breaker/Grozer Pliers
- Thin Fire Shelf Paper 21 inches x 48 inches
- 90 or 96 COE Glass (Keep in mind any glass you wish to fuse must be the same Coefficient of Expansion. This means that the different pieces of glass fused together must be compatible in the rate of heat expansion and cooling contraction. Glass may be purchased after you decide which project you prefer.)
The Art Center wants you to learn while having fun and staying safe! Please wear closed toed shoes and keep a pair of safety glasses and respirator handy.
