Prerequisite: Introduction to Watercolors with Lisa Burke
Students will focus on a variety of painting and brush techniques used in painting while working from a wide variety of subject matter. Color mixing, composition and design, relating specifically to watercolor paintings, will be taught. Students may work on their own paintings, with practical advice offered, or work on a painting related to the class demo.

Homework:
Each week a new painting will be started, finished at home, and critiqued at the next class.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies as they are not included in the class fees. Supplies are available for purchase at the Cape Coral Art Center Supply Store located in building 2 open Monday- Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm. Current students receive a 10% discount. - Jones Watercolor Palette 12in. x 16in. or any large palette with cover
- Watercolor Pad of Paper 11in. x 15in. OR 9in. x 12in. (140lb Cold Press): for best results, use this paper only for practice
- 140lb Cold Press Arches Sheets 22 x 30: for best results, use this paper for the project
- Good Brushes: 4 total (do not buy packs of cheap brushes. A few good ones are all you need)
- Rounds: #7 or #8
- Rounds: #12 or #14
- Flat: 3/4in. or 1in.
- Rigger: #3 or #4
