Advanced Silversmithing with Beverly Fox - 190451

Prerequisite: Introduction to Silversmithing with Beverly Fox

In this fun, relaxed, well equipped environment students will explore new techniques in metalsmithing. Learn more about tools, stretching, shaping metals, imprinting textures, stone setting and become comfortable using a torch. All designs are your own.

Students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies as they are not included in the class fees. Supplies are available for purchase at the Cape Coral Art Center Supply Store located in building 2 open Monday thru Saturday 9:00am thru 4:00pm. Current students receive a 10% discount. - Magnification (optivsior, cheaters)
- Sketch Book
- Pen or Pencil
- Sketches/designs (we will discuss your designs)
- Apron & Hand Towel
- Any silver you have
- Container to carry tools
- Saw Frame
- Saw blades 2/0, 3/0, 4/0
- Bench Pin
- Jeweler’s Files
- Small Jewelry Files
- Tweezers (short or long, not serrated)
- Solder (hard, medium, easy) in containers for each
- Wire solder medium
- Flux
- Flux Brush
- Scotch Brite
- Permanent Marker – Extra Fine Point (Sharpie)
- Masking Tape
- All other tools you enjoy using like pliers, miter, jig, etc.
- Scissors

- Solder Block (Charcoal)
- Cabochon stone(s)
- Safety Glasses
- Sanding Sticks (If you have them made)

The Art Center wants you to learn while having fun and staying safe! Please wear closed toed shoes and keep a pair of safety glasses and respirator handy.
