Experience a fun and relaxing time as you create your masterpiece with our talented instructors. No prior art experience is necessary, and all supplies are provided. All you need to do is bring your creativity and a positive attitude! The event is open to all ages (note that individuals under 21 must be accompanied by a parent). Please note that we do not sell alcohol at these events; feel free to bring your own.

Students will be introduced to a variety of techniques used in transparent watercolor painting such as mixing, blending, and applying colors, color values and characteristics. Students will learn how to add texture to paintings using various tools. Students will create compositions using these techniques in landscapes, seascapes, floral, abstracts and more. There will be a weekly painting project, that will be started in class and completed at home. There will be a class critique the following week.

Prerequisite:
Prior experience with watercolor paints

Students will focus on a variety of painting and brush techniques used in painting while working from a wide variety of subject matter. Color mixing, composition, and design – relating specifically to watercolor paintings -- will be taught. Students may work on their own paintings, with practical advice offered, or work on a painting related to the class demo.

Homework:
Each week a new painting will be started, finished at home, and critiqued at the next class.

In this class we will explore the fun style of expressive painting. In this class we will use Brusho Crystal Pigments, liquid watercolors and traditional watercolors to create beautiful colorful paintings. Students will accomplish a looser style, create colors and learn how to think outside of the box.

Prerequisite: Prior experience with watercolor paints.

Students will learn a fun approach to painting in an unstructured and creative atmosphere. Students will be responsible for coming to class with their own projects to work on. Do you like whimsy? Then you’ll love this class!

This class will focus on teaching beginning and entry level students the relief process of printmaking using rubber and linoleum matrixes. Students will learn how to create and edition a 5x7” relief. Hand printing and press printing will be utilized in this class.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Relief Printmaking with Michael Santacroce.

Students will further develop relief processes. Learn techniques like Chine Collé, collagraph printing and more. Students will learn about important professional practices such as pricing editions, paper choice and gallery preparation.

This class is designed for the beginning student. This class will explore hand building techniques, pinch, slab and coil, while also introducing the mechanical process of throwing on the wheel. Students will also learn the basics of how to finish their work through glazes and various firing methods. Advanced students are also welcome.

An intermediate class created for students advancing in pottery skills. This class includes throwing on the wheel, slab, coil building, glazing, and firing methods. Experienced potters will learn about special glazes and the firing technique of the ancient Japanese art form, Raku. Known for its beautiful luster, unusual colors, and free form designs obtained during the firing process.
